My name is Kathleen Fields but my "on-line" name has been
"KatieDo" for as long as I can remember, so it was only natural
that is what I would name my business. I live in Lenore, Idaho with my husband, John, and three very spoiled cats. Lenore is in the Idaho panhandle and is really just a dot on the map, if you blink while you're driving through you'll most likely miss it! My three children and John's three children are all grown now and have very busy lives of their own. We're blessed with two wonderful grandsons and two beautiful little granddaughters! We came to Idaho from California looking for a more relaxed, slower-paced life and found exactly that on our own little piece of heaven, three acres overlooking the Clearwater River.

I've been sewing and doing all types of needlework since I was seven years old, a very long time ago!, and started quilting in 1970. I did a lot of sewing and counted cross-stitch during the years my boys were growing up, and once they were on their own I was able to concentrate more on quilting. (Check out my quilting page to see what I've been up to.)When I bought my first embroidery machine, a Viking 1+. I played around a little with the embroidery designs, but it was when I graduated to the Singer XL-6000, that I became totally enthralled with everything embroidery. I found the world of machine embroidery on the internet and, as they say, the rest is history! It wasn't long before I wanted to start digitizing my own designs, and after some research and recommendations from digitizers whose work I admire I purchased the Embird software. It was touch and go at first, but I love digitizing now and have fun learning more and more each and every day. I hope you enjoy stitching my designs as much as I enjoy creating them for you!
